KUPCA is a non profit making, non political, non religious, non ethic and non gender biased association. The association is based on strong pillar of professional standards and ethical practice for the best psycho-social services in our universities. The objective is to get all universities students and staff live psychologically healthy live, for maximum efficiency, performance and productivity.

KUPCA is composed of professional counselors, who practice counseling in the Kenya private and public universities. Membership to this Association is exclusively for counselors who have direct counseling contact with students and staff. The association policies are based on a constitution that has been amended a few times

KUPCA is so far the only forum that brings public and private universities together for provision of psychosocial services. Since its inception, the Association has always received support from the universities’ Vice Chancellors and Principals of Constituent Colleges.

Our agenda is to have all Kenya Universities on board to ensure that our objective of enhancing university students and staff psychological well being is achieved. Nearly all the universities have managed to recruit and train peer counselors to facilitate effectiveness and efficiency in the provision of counseling services in our institutions of higher learning. Universities counselors are determined to offer the best of our service, to promote and uphold a culture of non-violence and high level of maturity among students. The counselors in this forum are visionary, focused and committed to ensure that the integrity of psychological counseling profession is upheld and best practice is manifested.
